Brown demolishes opponents, he draws penalties, he can score dirty goals, he can find loose pucks in front of the net, he can also rip shots through, and he's used in every situation, PP, PK, up a goal, down a goal, last minute of a game, etc. How are the Kings going to be able to replace all of that?

I've been a harsh critic of Brown in the past, but I'd like to think that I'm fair and a realist when I say that as frustrating as Brown could be at times (and the same can be said about Kopitar and Williams and Richards and Carter and Doughty and Quick and what have you), you cannot replace him. He's a unique player that brings a lot to the table that many other wingers can't provide. Clutterbuck can hit but he can't put the puck in the net like Brown does. Eberle can score, but he can't hit or play the PK or play the front of the net.

As we witnessed in the playoffs, you need guys like Brown to win physical battles. Go look at the previous Cup winning teams and they mostly had a physical top six winger who can score and hit. Guys like Bickell, Lucic, Ladd, Guerin, Holmstrom, Kunitz, Cole, Modin, Langenbrunner, C. Lemieux, Keane, all have their names on the Cup, and all of those listed wingers were not known for being highly skilled goal scorers. They played an abrasive game, got under the opponents skin, bought room for their far more talented line mates, and got the job done when somebody had to step their game up physically. Brown does that. And some of you want to remove that from the Kings?
