Risers:

Boyle (if he's not traded) - he was one of the few players that admitted he sucked last year because he was unprepared during the lockout and should have played in Europe. He's in a contract year and should be motivated, and in all likelihood will be on the 4th line where he belongs.

Del Zotto - he played his best hockey last season when he was paired with Staal. If they are paired together again, DZ will have more freedom to roam and work on his offensive game.

Fallers:

Brassard - Doubtful he will maintain the level of production he had after he was traded here. He's always been streaky and inconsistent and there will be stretches where he's not producing. Also, the Arniel factor.

Stralman - I echo the sentiment from above that he benefited from Torts and Sully's coaching style. I remember he was called out during 24/7 and responded well to the criticism. One of the coaches will need to light a fire under his ass every now and then for him to succeed.
