Assuming no trades...

Perron-RNH-Eberle
Hall-Gagner-Yakupov
Jones-Gordon-Hemsky
Smyth-Lander-Brown
Joenssu, Eager

Smid-Petry
Ference-J. Schultz
N. Schultz-Belov
Larson

What I would like to see...

Perron-RNH-Eberle
Hall-Gagner-Yakupov
Penner-Gordon-Hemsky
Smyth-Lander-Jones

Problem with the line up right now is that there is really nothing that the team can do if we get injuries in the top 6. This will be compounded even more when we move Hemsky for a plug.

Keep Hemsky and sign Penner and you have a 3rd line that is responsbily good defensively and can pot some goals. Also in case of injuries on the wing you can move either Hemsky or Penner up and not be hurt by it.

If not Penner, Antropov would be another option (in some senses better as he can slot in LW or C).

Realistically it looks like the Oilers are done signing forwards.

In an ideal world we add a legit 3 line winger, another NHL caliber center and a really good top 4 d-man.

Don't see us doing any of those three things though. But then again I didn't think MacT would make a trade and then he traded for Perron. So you never know.
