I don't think i'm watching the same games as everyone. Markov??? He is having a DREADFUL season. I'm not sure why so many are picking on Rivet and Bouillon and still praising Markie.
Rivet : Having a bad season but , is still a physical presence , jumps into rushes and is a leader in the locker room
Bouillon : small but hits big , skates hard , doesn't make mistakes in his own end often . Although he hasn't scored he's been looking great carrying the puck into offensive zone
and now Markov this year : Invisible , non-offensive, never could hit and still doesn't . Let's opposition go in the corner to avoid getting hit. Seems like he's going to die everytime he gets hit ( writhing in pain on the ice and returning 1 shift later) .
Everyone touted this guys horn all year last year and I'll admit , I was almost sold on him , but this year he is a non-factor . I think everyone is basing their evaluations on expectations rather than results .
I know the plus minus is going to end up being posted here in his defence. In all honesty I have no idea where he is ranked amongst the team's D-men . But I don't think plus-minus is the whole game story.
At this time I would take Bouillon over Markov without hesitation . So I voted Bouillon 4th but I honestly think he's above Markov...I'd put Markov and Rivet in a tie for 4th place
4. Markov, Rivet
Then again I think 4 and 5 are pretty much all the same.
