Building Through The Draft - Realistically

If MB remains true to his plan to patiently build through the draft, we have to look at who he has in the pipeline and what their ETA is to have an idea of what the team could be made of a few years down the road.

Some of the kids listed below are probably four years away from holding a job in the NHL, if they pan out at all. And itís realistic to think not all of them will.

No point at this time dreaming of players we donít have, letís keep with what we have instead, looking ahead three or four years down the road.

Pacioretty Galchenyuk Collberg
Bozon Eller Gallagher
Lehkonen Hudon De La Rose McCarron
Bournival Crisp Vail White Leblanc Fournier Thrower

Tinordi Beaulieu Pateryn Bennett
Subban Dietz Ellis Nygren

Price Tokarski ? Fucale ?

Notes :

- Current players not listed above will be past their prime when the youngest of the above make it to the NHL, so they could be used to speed up the process or address weaker spots in the projected line-up.

- Not all of the above will pan out; some could also be swapped to tweak the identity of the team as needed.

- I listed Thrower as a forward because I feel he has a better chance of making it as an energy forward than he as a D-man.

How do you see it?

When do you think weíll have the right blend of skill, size, youth and experience to contend?
