I think theres no doubt Hainsey could be playing in the NHL at the moment. Hes proved it at the beginning of the past two seasons but its always a numbers game. With the emergence of Souray which was unexpected, and Markov's great play last season, it left 1 spot for Bouillon or Hainsey to take. They both got their chance to prove themselves (though I think Bouillon had the advantage, playing quite a few games more than Hainsey while logging more minutes) and Bouillon took the 3rd pairing slot because he bought into CJ's system quite quickly. I think its just a matter of numbers right now. Hainsey wasnt doing bad and neither was Hossa when they were sent down. We just have a lot of depth right now and rather than playing them very little, we sent em down to Hamilton to get more ice time and continue developing.
