The Rangers have too many forwards. Sather talked about the young guys on July 3. The day after Kristo was acquired. According to Jim Cerny,the Rangers brass is very high on Kristo.

Something has to give. The maximum active roster can only be 23 players.
im guessing onces injuries start to happen in preseason and training camp, Rangers then might move some of their not needed depth to teams that have injury or depth problems... thats what i think Sather and Rangers management are trying to wait it out.. maybe they will get more value in a trade by waiting a bit.
