Because trade value isn't solely dependent upon talent and performance, perhaps?

Because HF Trade Boards is no way to determine who is a superior player?

Because HFBoard members tend to grossly overrate young players, especially those who have been hyped beyond belief, all the while ignoring flaws in said player?

Anon, Nash13 and davedave have all explained why Koivu will not be dealt at this stage, and why it's not even a consideration. Hopefully some people here will start thinking. We've gone through years of this Lecavalier-to-Montreal discussion. It's not going to happen. And if it does, it'll likely be all too reminiscent of the last time an overly hyped local boy came to town (anyone looking to deal a perennial Norris candidate for Mr. Spinorama? ).
