I started watching a few games on TV when I was about 6 or 7. We didnt have cable so I didn't see much. I didn't even know the rules. My dad didn't either but we watched together. I started playing with my friends after getting a plastic stick and a tennis ball from the toy store. My neighborhood friends would talk about the flyers and they asked If I was watching the game one day after school. i went home and asked dad If we could watch. I guess he misunderstood and he ended up taking me to a game instead.

I remember it was a really big game at the spectrum and I was sitting near the top because I had somewhere to put my coat. The tickets weren't great, but my parents didn't have much money. My dad bought tickets off a scalper and we were caught by the police. We ended up getting the tickets cheaper than the negotiated price!

20 years later I have season tickets and my dad comes with me sometimes. He still doesn't know the rules. Haha
