That's true, but in sports, especially contact sports, its the not being able to achieve hypertrophy (muscle growth, and the strength development that comes with it) can be the death knell for some athletes.

The lack of physical development is a big reason why a kid like Zach Hammil tears up juniors, but can't play with men.
