I believe that in any city the attendance will rise tremendously with new arenas, especially Moscow. Look at the Minsk situation - average attendance 3k in a city 1.000.000+ people before 2010, and 14-15k now. I've been there many times, believe me the atmosphere is fantastic. =) The only thing that changed is the arena, they still play awful, no play-offs, but HUGE attendance.

It is a shame that nobody in Russia actually understand this.
