Please no:"This guy stinks, get him out for a garbage can full of puck" post.

I'll start with the Habs, IMO:

Ron Hainsey: not in MTL d-men top 7 right now, maybe too young to be traded but I wouldn't be surprised if Gainey traded him to get help up-front.

Craig Rivet: Habs have similar cheaper d-man.

Yanic Perreault: Top face-off man, could be useful for a team looking to go far in the play-offs, not just trying to make them.
I haven't read all the posts so I suspect the JAckets are already represented.

I would say almost anyone but Nash, Zherdev and Klesla, unfortunately you also mentioned "tradable and more useful elsewhere" That limits our choices.

I suspect:
Cassels (2nd line center for playoff push - change of scenery?)
Sanderson (2nd line winger - busting butt but no luck or lost skill?)
Lachance (been steady but no better than 5/6 D-man)

I personally hope to keep Sanderson as I think a good center is all he needs but Cassels is expendable as he isn't in the long term. Lachance, while serviceable, is taking up the spot of Aaron Johnson for next year.

Picks or prospects please. With the salaries they carry we may need to take someones other high priced "Talent". We can afford to and look what a change of scenery can do for some.
