A Phantoms' signing...

The Adirondack Phantoms have announced the addition of big defenseman Steven Delisle who joins the team on an AHL contract.

Steven Delisle is a 6-6, 210 pound right-handed shooter from Levis, Quebec. The 23-year-old has played in 10 career games in the AHL and 99 games in the ECHL in his two previous professional seasons.

Last year, he appeared in four games with the Connecticut Whale registering two assists and six penalty minutes. He spent most of the campaign with their ECHL affiliate in Greenville, SC where he played in 61 games scoring four goals and 16 assists for 20 points with 85 penalty minutes.

In 2011-12, he played in the AHL with the Springfield Falcons for six games recording zero points while also seeing action in 38 games with the ECHL Chicago Express with one goal and three assists for four points. He also spent six games with the Fort Wayne Komets, then of the CHL, in the 2010-11 season.

Delisle has been part of two major trades between the Blue Jackets and Rangers organizations.

On July 23, 2012, Steven Delisle was traded by Columbus to the New York Rangers along with Rick Nash in exchange for Brandon Dubinski, Artem Anisimov and Tim Erixon.
