If I was GM I'd wait for camp/preseason to see how his legs bounced back from last year, I think he got fatigued after playing big minutes the first month on the heels of not much hockey in 2+ years. If he can regain another half step then he's a guy that's easily a top 4 guy on any team, so giving him 2-3 years at 4.75-5 mil won't be a big risk.
