I always used to get my stick lifted, and this past offseason its one of the things I wanted to work on. I'm a bigger guy so what works for me is for around the boards using my body while keeping my legs moving to shield it. For when Im chasing after a puck, and I see someone right behind me I try to anticipate the stick lift, so I position myself so they can't get to it.
