Not to take anything away from both players but are their feats really that incredible?

-Souray scores 6 points on the weakest defense in the league

-Boucher gets shutouts against 5 struggling teams
-Minnesota had 1 win in their last 8 games
-Washington had 1 win in their last 9 games
-Carolina had scored 2 goals or less in 13 of their last 14 games
-Los Angeles had 1 win in their last 8 games
-Dallas was finally getting some wins together but had 24 goals in their last 16 games (less than 2 goals per game)

The only team out of that bunch that was even scoring any goals recently was Los Angeles but they've been dealing with injuries all year long.

Again, I am not saying that what both of these players did isn't amazing but just saying that it seems a little bit circumstantial as much as it seems skill. If Souray scores 6 points against Ottawa, Detroit, Vancouver, New Jersey, then we're talking a huge feat. If Boucher gets shutouts against some of the same teams, again it's a much bigger feat.

Anyways, I am still happy for both of these players but I am not going to hop on the "Boucher is God" bandwagon for shutting out weak teams. I wish him the best and hope he can continue to string wins together for Phoenix but we'll see what he does against the top gunners of the league first.
