I know offence matters a ton for the All Star Game, but neither McCabe nor Markov have had all-star seasons. Souray and Kaberle have, and Campbell and Chara are logical picks. I haven't seen enough Penguins or Devils game to comment on Rafalski or Gonchar.

I think Havelid, playing 25-26 minutes a night has to be considered. Bouwmeester is another guy having a better year than Markov.

I really like Markov, and he's one of the better powerplay quarterbacks in the NHL, but I don't think he's been all-star caliber. Souray has been a bigger factor on the PP, and Komisarek has been better in our own zone. I think Markov will have a better 2nd half, and he's still arguably been our best all around D-man, but he hasn't been as good as he was last year (apart from the PP).
