What I get from all of this is simply that Kostitsyn didn't work any harder in practice, didn't seem to want to learn, didn't seem to want to give it his all. Latendresse, on the other hand, seems to have impressed the staff by at least trying and learning. Which is something Kostitsyn hasn't done ever since he was drafted. He seems contempt relying on his talent, which is why Carbo sent hum packing.
Kost isn't good enough to remain on the team on talent alone, unlike our two other floaters. And for a rookie, he showed no desire to improve or to give it his all. He deserved to go.
He should do something about it but Kost speaks barely any english...Lats alot more, obviously he can seem like he wants to learn more...
the problem with kostitsyn is that we didnt' bring him in earlier, that itself was a managerial mistake.
but it doesn't matter Markov who was owning Russia looked like he didn't care his first few times up...you could see the talent, but did he want it? Obviously he does
I'm impatient and miffed @ Carbo a bit, but in the grand Scheme of things it doesn't matter. IF this is going to make Kost Hustle like ALL of the kids who come into this team ALL of them (Higgins, Plekanec, Perezhogin, Latendresse Komisarek) this is awesome. That just means that our future team won't have Kovalevs or Samsonovs...who are yes better than Begins (Kost looked better than Lats right?) but they dont' give it 100% all the time
That's what I think they are trying to get with the youngsters. Hard working skilled team...if we can do this we will own in 3 years....like Own...and for a very long time
