And 7-18-25 in 44 games are better than what Anson has given us not to mention that Anson has displayed zero chemistry with any of our centers and Devo-Nedved would be more effective on a line togther then Carter-Nedved currently are.
i never said the guy didn't compete. i totally agree with you there but he's always been touted as an offensive player and that's where the disappointment comes in. davisian is right in saying he's more of a defensive player with some offensive skill and to be honest our farm team should be chock full of guys like him. after all it should be the skill guys that should be hard to find..no? you would think looking at career stats that carter would be a more dependable scorer than dvorak so imo it was a worthwhile gamble. it just hasn't worked out. what really sucks is that with all the money we've spent we're really not long scoring forwards. as far as chemistry goes dvorak did some of his best goal scoring away from nedved.maybe the chemistry problem is more nedved than carter as hlavac hasn't exactly had a renaissance playing on his wing either. nedved is more shooter than playmaker and maybe that's what we're lacking here a good playmaking center with speed...that's younger than 43!
