The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled center Alexander Svitov from Hamilton of the American Hockey League...

Svitov is exactly the type of player Milbury loves: big, skates well for his size, loads of potential despite having a minimal historical record for scoring, he's the prototypical Milbury "big risk, big reward" player. That being said, though, moving Hammer for him at this stage essentially announces we're giving up on the season by moving one of our top 4 Dmen for a player who clearly will not have an impact this season. To make it worse, we'd be trading said top 4 Dman to a team we likely could be battling for the 8th spot. I don't see this trade going down unless we fall out of a the playoff race.
