Many define defense as being stuck in your own end defending, which may be true in a semantic argument, but it's counter-productive to winning. Keeping the puck moving in the opposite direction is the best defense there is. A guy or two to throw big hits and clear the net is all that's needed.

Transitional play, now more than ever is vital to success. A markov at 80-90% made all the difference in the world last year, Many posters don't appreciate his impact and won't until he's gone again.
