Veteran players aren't signed to ride the pine in the NHL unless they significantly struggle. It's just not done that way.
No way Diaz gets scratched for Tinordi Bouillon or Murray, you're dreaming in colour.

Diaz brings more to the table than any of those guys and plays a bigger role.
