Not really been close since

Gaborik had 42 in 2007/2008 in Minny. He also had 38 in 65 games played in 2005/2006 that should get honorable mention. In New York he had two very good years in 2009-2010 and 2011-2012 potting 42 and 41 goals respectively. He also adapted quite nicely to stoneage hockey defensively, albeit gaffs and off games last year in particular.

But Nash is a one-timer, Gaborik is a consistent 40 goal guy
