These are the most obvious candidates IMO :
- Chris Higgins
If he had played the whole 20 games, he would have been the most obvious candidate for sure but unfortunately he got hurt. In 13 games, he score 8 goals + 5 assists for 13 points. Probably our best player in the first 13 games, but not the 20 first. He is on pace for a PPG season.
- Andreď Markov
Have been our more consistency (sp?) player this year I think. Played very good offensively, but have shown some gap in his own zone so I think that why he dont deserve the title. 2 goals (and one of these was a GWG at 59:59), 15 assists for 17 points and +8. On pace for a 66 points, +31 season.
- Cristobal Huet
Definitely November MVP but not quarter of the season one. He dont have played enough game, like a #1 would have done, to deserve the title. Pretty damn impressive stats though : 2.11 GAA and ,935 PCT.
- Sheldon Souray
His status of pylon in defense have barerly upgraded to defensman with defensive gap but that his offensive play that impress the whole NHL. He got 9 goals, 7 of them being in Powerplay, and 8 assists for 17 points* on pace for a 66, -8 season. Impressive, but I think he deserve the MVP title.
- Saku Koivu
He had an impact on every games so far this season. The Captain is our most used forward and, none-only he play in powerplay, but he also play on the PK unit. In 21 games, he count 5 goals, 14 assists for 19 points. He may deserve the MVP title IMO.

All good choices...but not one(maybe Huet recently) has really stood out on an ongoing basis...Total team effort after 21 games, nice to see! If Kovy and Sammy ever get going, and stay going, this season could be alot of fun!
