If you want to have a franchise that is viewed with a little dignity and respect then you should hire an announcer that sounds like a professional not a carnival barker. To me Tom Cheeks' call of "Touch 'em all Joe. You'll never hit a bigger home run in your life." for the Blue Jays world series victory is a great example of a classy way to announce a big moment for a sports franchise. Rick Jennerette is just a joke.
I prefer someone who brings energy into the game than a Pierre Houde who, though he is a great professional, is boring as hell.
