You might want a blocks and/or PIM specialist instead of a lower-end guy but for the most part you should just focus on scoring more then your opponent since that takes up the majority of the stats.

I like your team overall, but without knowing more about the league I can't say if having guys like Saad and Nichushkin on the team is smart. You have an interesting situation in goal with two guys in opposite situations and points in their career.
Thanks for the feedback. Goalie stats are W, GAA, SV%, and shutouts. I picked Schneider in hopes that he'll split the season with Brodeur and I expect he will do well. I think the Islanders will be a decent team, and though I don't think Nabokov will have awesome stats I assume he'll get a majority of starts and have average numbers and a fair number of wins.

Why not Saad? You think he might not repeat last season's success? I picked up Ott for PIMs but I might replace him with Downie who is available and there are bunch of pretty good players still available including Grabovski, Radim Vrbata, Michael Grabner, Devin Setoguchi, Cory Conacher, and Andrew Cogliano who are all probably better picks than Nichushkin and several of them play for teams that I haven't picked from.

edit- I didn't realize that last year was Saad's first season.
