Forwards hold more value and there's no debating it. Especially those two.. they are top 10 prospects in the entire league at this point. GIbson would be a tier below them and a position of less value in a trade. That said, he is worth a considerable amount for a prospect regardless.

People on HF overvalue prospects. When has a top prospect ever gotten traded for something people on here deemed fair? lol

Schneider lands 9th Overall
Clutterbuck Landed a former 5th overall
Erat laded a former 11th overall

If a top prospect or pick is traded, it's usually to sweeten the pot. Like Schenn going to Philly... with Simmonds.

I'm not saying they should trade Gibson. I'm saying if they put him on the market and called all 29 other teams and said "Gibson for the best roster player we are offered", you'd get a 1st round pick or a 2nd line talent. His potential alone is better than that, so why trade him?
