I'm disappointed in how this is going as well wrt Slepyshev. I did notice though that Ufa has 16 forwards on their roster and that other than Hartikainen (23) and Filatov (23) the only forwards that get ice time are baiscally 25 or older. I may be wrong but this looks to me like a pattern in the KHL, with a few exceptions, they don't like to play the kids very much. So at 19 Slepyshev may be better off in the MHL.

The eastern Division of the KHL is not very high scoring. Slightly less than the NHL I'd say. So if you give a kid 4th line minutes with only a few shifts per period they are not going to put up many points. This is not really intended an excuse for Slepyshev since I have not seen him play, but rather is a real positive for Yakimov.
