Yeah I'm not sure. Gardiner was manhandled physically a few times by Landeskog and was iffy in his own end but the majority of the time he's good at skating the puck out of his own end. Had a few scoring chances too but he's far too up and down at this point in his career.
One thing I noticed is that as fast as Gardiner is, Rielly was IMO noticeably faster when given the opportunity to skate. He didn't skate with the puck nearly as much as Gardiner though. He's yet another one of those too good for juniors but could use more AHL time guys though. Playing 25 minutes a night in the AHL would be far more beneficial to him compared with playing 13-17 in the NHL.
