And two solid young defenders with size (and affordable contracts) are not special? Basically you are trading a 60-70pt D-man for two 25-30pt D-men, which improves the Caps depth and defensive capabilities (which, if you haven't noticed, are completely lacking). Jillson, for his part, has not reached his offensive potential yet. I think Geo McPhee would be all over that trade (even if it means admitting his mistake on Boynton).
