Patience is a virtue

Patience has worn thin and Sather's track record does not earn him the benefit of the doubt. I think the only time in recent years I was willing to be patient was in 2011-12. The Rangers got off to a bit of a slow start but that team showed promise and worked hard even if they were not winning games consistently.
This year is a totally different ballgame. Outplayed, outhustled, and overmatched in all but 2 games. It's only 7 games in and we have already lost 3 games by a margin of 4 goals or more.
Yes, we've had injuries. But no one has stepped up in the absence of Nash, Hagelin, or Cally. Girardi and McDonagh stepped up in Staal's absence. The Pack Line stepped up the season before that when Gaborik was injured and struggled. Paging Stepan, Brassard, Zucc, Pouliot, etc.
And even if this team gets healthy and finally gets their act together, what is their ceiling? Another 1st or 2nd round exit? This roster as constructed is not a legitimate threat to win the cup.
