I hate to burst your bubble but Louis Leblanc currently falls into the category of names you just listed.

At any level of professional hockey, ice time is earned and not given. Louis has not earned it with his play. Leblanc will not grow to a better more complete player 'just because' he's playing 20 minutes on the first line It will just make him look even worse than he has already been. What does that tell the other prospects/players? Just because your a first round pick you will get the royal treatment? Who will sign with this organization?

Even so, no hockey player who is a competitor, wants to be handed ice time as a token. Mike Blunden got called up because he gives 'er every shift. He gets top line AHL minutes because of this. That combination is why he leads the team in scoring among forwards.

Louis Leblanc has checked out. He doesn't want to be here anymore nor do they want him around. If he keeps it up like he has, I honnestly wouldn't be surprised if they drop him to Wheeling or make him a healthy scratch eventually.

It'll be impossible to trade him as he has no value and teams know he won't be qualified so they'll just wait to get him for nothing.
