What an outstanding game. This game was back and forth the entire night, and that one sequence in OT where Perezhogin lost the puck, then Roy (I think) lost the puck and then Kovalev lost the puck in quick succession was a nice highlight to help define this game. I loved the Canadiens backchecking tonight. On a few plays, Huet was left vulnerable, but the defense came to his rescue (there was one where Plekanec tied up the stick nicely). Markov's backcheck near the end of hte game was outstanding too, and really captures his value on our team.

The one sour point is obviously Sheldon Souray. Considering what he did for us tonight, any absence from 44 would be devastating for this team. In addition to being a great offensive defenseman, he is a great leader and seems to have everyone's respect. Without him in the lineup, I just get the feeling the team won't feel as big as they do now.
