Patrick Sharp was traded for a 3rd rounder. He was a skilled, undersized older prospect who wasn't going to get a shot in Philly. Chicago was awful at the time and just throwing young players out there and letting them develop. It worked out. Does that mean that every young player that looks like Sharp (skilled, undersized, old for a prospect) should return whatever Sharp would return now? No.
Handzus is still the best comparison. Boyle will not return a first or second round pick. Period.

Unless he somehow picks up his play significantly, in which case we wouldn't want to move him anyway.
