He played for the London Knights. That is run by Dale Hunter... Though it does embody many similar traits to the Torts system of grinding, tough play, forecheck and backcheck. It also is a more creative offense. Dan Girardi did go undrafted out of there but he managed to be an All star in the NHL due to his defensive game.

Hes one of few Rangers on the team who is actually causing the breakout to be quicker but I agree its not his best start.
