Depends on what you consider stay-at-home defenseman. I would split defensemen in 3 types: offensive (good at offense, not so much at defense, e.g. Mike Green), stay-at-home (good at defense with limited offensive production, Jason Smith type) and two-way (good defensive, but also contributing offensively, e.g. Lidstrom). Then, of course, there is a fourth type of Dman that sucks at everything.

Based on this, a guy like Chara can hardly be considered stay-at-home. He scored 40 or more points in 8 consecutive seasons (practically 9) and finished 2nd in defensemen scoring couple of seasons ago.

But how about Rod Langway? He is in the HHOF, isn't he?
