Like the posters above us have commented, if he's not ready then that's ok. But if he is, that's great news.

As for keeping him out. If he's ready, he's ready. There's no such thing as 100% as a pro-athlete, but if he's ready to play, a few more weeks won't make him any more ready.

But again, if he's not ready, then yeah, don't rush it.
