I'm still not sure why you want to give up the players you mentioned. Williams isn't going to be a difference maker when you've lost those kind of players. I'm sure you can find goaltending prospects for less that are as good as Niittymaki. The thing with prospects is there's no guarantee.

I wouldn't do the deal because I think Williams is a great player that has a tremendous upside. He won't be a super scorer, but a two way player that leaves everything on the ice. I don't know that about your players. As far as goaltending, I don't think they can spare it right now. Hackett's getting "treated for vertigo", or as some have said he is suffering from NoWayICanGo. Niitymaki is backing up Esche Tuesday against Montreal.
I think Williams would look good on a line w/ Frolov, Modry will help add more depth to flyers D and Lappy is a smart warrior w/skill. Any deal for Ian should involve a goaltending prospect. Amazingly the Kings are still very much in the playoff race and could do some major damage if Allison and Deadmarsh can make it back. Im sure DT will make a deal for a forward (Gomez,Williams,O'Niel ??) and has a lot of options now that the Kings have rebuilt thier system. Nordstom , Visnovski, Gleason and Grebeshkov are D-Man that are probably not available. Miller might be for the right forward ?? Anyway Good luck to the Flyers, hope you get a quality DMAN.

PS JR is probably lucky he did not hit Sundin with that flying check it would have cost him $91k + and Domi would have probably tried to rearrange his grill. JR is too talented to take a run like that at another teams star forward. Leave the ruff stuff to Randy Holt oops I mean Brasheer.
