I only mention this because I vaguely recall during Calgary's cinderella run to the Cup finals, Sutter instilled a system where they treated different sections of the season as best of seven series and their goal was to not lose any. I always found that interesting and a good coaching tool, not only to add some importance to what can seem like meaningless games but also to prepare a team for the playoffs.

I think this has to do with the challenge Carbo gave to the team at the start of the year. "We can lose one game. But we cant lose 2 in a row."
It only happend once so far this year. If you never lose 2 games in a row you will go far.
