Fucale was hardly lights out in the first half of last season either, only nobody really noticed because of who he had in front of him.
I'll take the sub-900 numbers in November when they're followed up by .940 in May, lol. He's sort of the anti-Fleury in that regard. I remember watching Marc-Andre Fleury as a Screaming Eagle steal game after game after game in the regular season only to flame out in the playoffs. Fucale's done the opposite: He's played two full seasons in the Q and gone on two very deep playoff runs where his play got better and better the further they got into spring.
He was in the top 4 in the Q in save percentage like 2 and half weeks ago. His stats have taken hit during this slump, but as a Mooseheads fan I'll happily take a "slump" where my goaltender still does enough to win 4 of 6 games he's started.
