Here are my notes on Jeffrey for you guys...

Dustin Jeffrey (LW/C) - Something of a utility player. Doesn't have a lot of great skills but isn't a liability either. It's tough to figure out what his role can be for an NHL team at this point. He has a good shot and a snappy release. Not much of a playmaker, as his offensive skills are somewhat limited. That said, he still passes off the puck too much when he plays with overly skilled players. Plays a simple game, doesn't get overly involved, doesn't appear to have the confidence to play on a high-flying scoring line. He anticipates the play well, plays it safe in the neutral zone. He'll drive the net with the puck and throw things on the net when he's on the lower lines. His competent defensive savvy is masked by his lackluster skating, kind of a slow stride that's more motion than action. Could use some more starch, especially if he's going to be auditioning for bottom-six forward positions in the NHL. Whether he carves out a niche in the NHL is yet to be determined, if he can't, he has a long career ahead of him in professional hockey below the NHL level. Can play in any situation or none at all, as strange as it sounds.

Career: Utility player. Either a complementary/role player in the NHL or a top-flight scorer in the AHL.
