I think some people tend to get blinded by the fact Flyer fans basically blamed Roman for the Flyers' scoring woes the past 2 playoff runs and feel every goal the other team scored was soft. It will look that way since most of those games Roman had to shutout the other team to win

11 playoffs games vs. Ottawa

1-0 W (OT, but should have scored more)
3-0 L (Flyers flat out out played, and out worked, and out desired)
3-0 L (1 empty netter)
3-0 L (Flyers quit after it was 1-0)
2-1 L (OT, Boucher played)
-------------
4-2 L (Flyers got into penalty trouble and forgot how to kill PP's)
2-0 W (2nd goal scored late)
3-2 L (OT on a fluke goal)
1-0 W (needed Chris Therien to make a play)
5-2 L (Flyers thought they won 21 seconds into the game and then quit)
5-1 L (Flyers quit, I guess they thought they didn't want to give up hope for Game 7 because they would have lost anyways)

Granted, he does give up soft goals, more than he or most goalies should, but he makes enough great saves to make up for it.

Cechmanek isnt the reason the Kings got out of their slump, but his play was a big part of getting some points, late in the streak (0-0 tie vs. Nashville). I think the Kings only had 2 or 3 regulation losses during that span.

very informative, thanks kj
