I'd put Copp higher and Lodge lower. Copp may be older, but he's the top C at U of M and playing quite well. Lodge has the greater potential, but still has yet to start achieving it.

I'm also unsure of having Kichton that high. Yes he's the leading points producer amongst rookie defenseman in the AHL, but he's older than the rest of the draft class and I'm not sure if his potential is higher than that of a guy we already have in Paul Postma.

Early but this is how I see it today for the long term value:

1 Morrissey

2 Comrie

3 Petan

4 Copp

5 Lodge

6 Kostalek

7 Kichton

8 Lipon

9 Karlstrom

10 Poolman

Lots to like in this draft for Winnipeg , and a lot of players could end up being productive for this franchise. With so many picks and a lot in the rounds 2 through 4 area , lists will be fluid for different posters.

I like Copp a lot and sense he will be a very astute selection for Winnipeg . Hope he makes the WJ team . He has been really productive the last half of last year through now and with his background and quite recently only focusing on one sport this is more than a bit eye opening for me.
