I picked Brodeur...for longevity (1234+ games to date), his ability to work almost every game (15 straight seasons starting 67+ games a season), and the fact that he backstopped five Devils teams that went to the Stanley Cup finals (3 wins, 2 losses).

Even though Dryden's career was short, and Tretiak never played in the NHL (although both are HHOFers), I would have liked to see them added to this list as well as Sawchuk, Plante, and Glenn Hall.

Dryden only played 7+ seasons, but those were 7+ extraordinary seasons. Tretiak was perhaps the greatest goalie to never play in the NHL, and he shined on the international stage, and I don't think that I need to make an argument for Sawchuk, Plante, and Hall.
