I'm sure you're right but I think it's a disastrous policy, and it's a policy that doesn't need to be worried about by one simple expedient: don't trade for players with questionable motivation - no matter how cheaply you can get them.

Would Lou Lamoriello trade for a guy with an attitude like Jagr's? No. In fact he gets rid of trouble cases like Arnott. Maybe for once Sather should actually look at someone else's successful model for how to construct and run a team.
