The 6 games between now and the break should....

....tell an awful lot. 5 of the 6 are at home, and Vancouver is the only really strong opponent we're due to face. Florida, Washington and Buffalo are Eastern Conference bottom-feeders, and Minnesota has been ravaged with injuries and is struggling mightly, (not to mention that game is Richter's retirement ceremony )

If this "team" can't find it in themselves to play hard and come up with a few victories against weak teams at home after acquiring a player of Jagr's caliber, and enduring a 4-game losing streak during which they were outscored 22-6, then they should forfeit the rest of the season and head south to warm weather and golf courses now.

It's crucial for the Rangers to gain some ground on the Islanders between now and the break, because 5 of the first 6 games after the break are against either Philly, Ottawa or Jersey, and I don't see the Rangers putting together a streak against opponents like that.
