Wow, i knew the Isles were losing but i didnt know it was a 6 gamer.

Talk about streaks in this league.

Its crazy how every game is so big. Teams are so close in the standings, i just took a look at the full standings - talk about an even playing field. I dont know if its a direct effect of the salary cap or not but the disparity in the league this year is incredible.

Only 5 teams in the NHL are under .500 - with one team, phoenix one game under.

Only two teams in the east are under .500 - Flyers and Panthers.

Only 7 points separate the Islanders in the 13th spot from the Rangers in the 5th.

What a field this year. Its really gonna come down to who gets hot at the right time.

The Rangers have to really start taking home ice to heart, because in that big stretch when the playoff positions are solidified, they have the 13 out of 17 at home that i always talk about.
