I really don't believe anything happens immediately, LIRF. Sather has brought himself some time with the Jagr deal. In checking off on the deal, Dolan has to give Sather at least a few games to get Jagr incorporated into the concept of the Ranger Collective (which is to say "the team concept"). He can't judge the impact of this major transaction by only one game. (The injuries don't hurt Sather either.)

IMO Sather won't be fired before the trade deadline, and even that depends on the team continuing its current poor play.
