Todd Cordell says Calgary has signed Morgan Klimchuk to his ELC.

EDIT: As soon as I clicked post, Calgary announced it themselves.

The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed their 2013 first round pick Morgan Klimchuk to a three year entry level contract.

A native of Calgary, Alberta, Klimchuk is currently in his fourth season with the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League. He has 12 goals and 17 assists for 29 points in 26 games and has a +9 rating. Klimchuk was Calgary’s 28th selection in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Contract terms: Three-year entry level contract with an NHL base salary of $832,500 with a signing bonus of $92,500 each year and an AHL salary of $70,000 per year. The contract has an Average Annual Value of $925,000

Dan O'Toole: "So if I have this right, only acceptable goal celebration in NHL is to put hands at your sides and then feel shame."
