Laughton had a solid game and his line was able to provide any corrections in lost momentum to the Germans every time they stepped out on the ice. They had a few good scoring chances but didn't make the conversion. He looked good with and without the puck.

Leier was pretty quiet and his line was limited in 5 on 5 ice time. He didn't get a sniff of PP time and took a pair of high-sticking calls which ate up his icetime even more as a penalty killer. Wasnt very noticeable as a result.

Tough to gauge their contributions in non scoring role within such a tilted match.
